Led by local landowners, this initiative merges conservation with sustainable production, focusing on cultural protection and community empowerment.
SAHBIO Carbono invests in the future of the Orinoquía and the planet. By protecting soils, conserving water resources, and safeguarding biodiversity against agricultural expansion, SAHBIO Carbono combats greenhouse gas emissions that drive climate change. With each protected hectare, we prevent the release of tens of tons of CO₂, contributing to sustainable management that preserves the essence of savannas and wetlands. This 30-year project supports carbon credits issuance and aims to reduce at least 4 million tons of CO₂. Through SAHBIO Carbono, we invest in the planet and a green economy that respects life.
SAHBIO Biocréditos transforms conservation into action, focusing on areas of high biodiversity and water resources. We use cutting-edge technology, such as species identification by sound, eDNA analysis, and hyperspectral cameras, to study and protect wildlife. Through the efforts of Landscape Stewards, scientific monitoring and awareness workshops, SAHBIO Biocredits creates a tangible impact. Investing in biodiversity credits means directly supporting the conservation of the planet.
SAHBIO Habitat Banks protects ecologically rich areas by establishing zones free from economic activity, thereby offsetting environmental impacts from infrastructure projects through ecological services. Our initiative balances development and conservation, offering a responsible investment in preserving the planet.
